Colorado West Quilters' Guild is involved with several programs and agencies around western Colorado, and contributes to our community in many ways. Members are encouraged to help out in any way they can, and our quilts are always very appreciated and meaningful to the recipients.

Quilted Comforts
Our Guild members make quilts for organizations in the area including: Strive, Western Slope Center for Children, and the Pregnancy Center. You may donate fabric, supplies, blocks or time. At every meeting you will find packets on the tables containing materials for a quilt top, or you may quilt or bind a completed top. Members are encouraged to make one quilt a year. These quilts are donated to several charities throughout the valley. Sizes needed: twin size quilts, bed quilts 59" x 85-95", crib size and receiving blankets.

Doll Quilts
Our Guild members make doll quilts to go along with a doll and a cradle made by Golden K Kiwanis. These are donated to several agencies. Easy to make, no batting needed, 7x9, 7x7 or 9x9. This is a great way to put an orphan block to good use.

Quilts for Veterans
Our Guild is participating in the "We Honor Our Veterans" lap robe project. Hope West and the VA Hospital have teamed up to acknowledge veterans coming into their care. As a way to thank our veterans, they want to provide every veteran with a lap robe/quilt.
